The Calm & Control™ Motherhood Capacity Assessment

From the outside, it looks like you're coping.

Inside, it feels like you're holding everything together with masking tape.

You smile.

You keep going.

You make sure everyone else has what they need.

Then something tiny happens...

...and suddenly it all feels too much.

You've spent so long holding everything together that somewhere along the way, you've stopped checking in with yourself.

A 50-minute psychology-led assessment to help you understand what's really going on, so you can stop blaming yourself and finally know where to begin.

Why this makes sense

You're not a bad mum, and you are not failing. You're carrying more than most people see.

Most mums I speak to don't tell me about one big thing that's happened.

They tell me about hundreds of little things: the constant mental load, never really switching off, and generally feeling like a cog in a machine.

You've probably told yourself to be calmer, to stop overthinking and to enjoy your motherhood more.

But when you're carrying more than your mind and body were ever meant to carry, it's not because you aren't trying hard enough.

It's because you've been running on empty for far too long.

Even when you finally sit down, your body might be on the sofa, but your mind is still writing tomorrow's shopping list, remembering the school trip money and wondering if everyone's okay.

No one was designed to carry that much, every single day.

In my work, I call this your motherhood capacity. It's the emotional, mental and physical space you have available to cope, connect and enjoy your motherhood.

And when your capacity is running low, it's often the people you love the most who get what's left of you.

Not because you love them any less, but because your cup is empty and you've got so little left to give.

Why personalised understanding matters

This is where quizzes, Instagram reels and parenting podcasts reach their limit.

They can help you realise you're not alone, that other mums feel this way too.

They can help you recognise yourself when you're overwhelmed and you've got nothing left to give.

Sometimes, they even explain why what you're experiencing makes sense and help you see that trying harder was never really the answer.

But they can't understand the woman reading them, because generic advice can't reach the real reason you feel this way.

Two mothers can look like they're struggling with exactly the same thing and they can both feel completely overwhelmed... but they need entirely different support.

One mum may be living in survival mode, losing her patience and feeling guilty afterwards.

Another may have lost herself somewhere between looking after everyone else and forgetting to look after herself.

Another may still be carrying the weight of experiences from her own childhood, shaping the way she thinks, feels and responds today.

From the outside they can look almost identical.

Underneath, their stories are completely different.

That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all advice.

Before we decide what will help you feel calmer...

Before we think about tools, techniques or ongoing support...

We first need to understand the whole picture.

We need to understand you.

Your story.

Your nervous system.

Your motherhood.

Because when we understand you first, the support that follows finally makes sense.

That's exactly what the Calm & Control™ Motherhood Capacity Assessment is designed to do.

During your assessment

The Calm & Control™ Motherhood Capacity Assessment is different from most conversations you've probably had before.

Instead of jumping straight into advice or trying to "fix" how you're feeling, we take the time to understand.

Because I believe we need to ask this question first... "What's really going on?"

That's exactly what the Calm & Control™ Motherhood Capacity Assessment is designed to help us understand.

Together, we'll slow everything down and look at the whole picture.

Not just what's happening today...

But how your story, your nervous system and your motherhood have brought you to this point.

01

Your Capacity

We'll explore what's quietly draining your emotional and mental capacity, highlight what will help to restore it and where you need the most support right now.

02

Your Story, Your Nervous System

Together, we'll make sense of how your body has been responding to everything you've been carrying, and where feeling calmer can begin.

03

Your Way Forward

We'll bring everything together into a personalised roadmap, so you leave knowing what's happening, why it's happening and exactly where to begin.

By the end of our session, you'll leave with far more than reassurance.

You'll have a personalised understanding of what's happening, why it's happening and where to begin.

Your assessment is a 50-minute online session held over Microsoft Teams. A space to feel seen, heard and understood.

Once you've booked, you'll complete a short questionnaire that helps me begin understanding your story, so we can make the very most of our time together.

When we finish you'll leave with:

  • A personalised roadmap based on your story and current needs, so you know exactly where to begin.
  • Three practical tools or techniques chosen specifically for you, that you can start using straight away.
  • A clear recommendation for the next step, whether that's continuing to build your capacity independently or receiving further support.

Nothing is decided before we meet.

Because before we decide what you need... we first understand what's really going on.

The Grounded Momma Method™

A therapeutic 3-part Framework that helps me understand where each mother needs to begin.

Step 01

Regulate

We settle the body because nothing else works when your nervous system is stuck in survival.

Step 02

Rewire

We gently explore the beliefs and patterns shaped by your story, that are now quietly running the show... often long before motherhood began.

Step 03

Reconnect

We reconnect you with yourself, your child and the mother you actually want to be, with a lot less self-blame and a lot more self-kindness.

There isn't one right place to begin.

There is only the right place for you.

That's exactly why I created the Grounded Momma Method™. It's the framework I'll use to guide us throughout your assessment.

How the Grounded Momma Method™ guides your assessment

The Grounded Momma Method™ isn't something you'll need to learn.

It's the framework I'll quietly use throughout your assessment to help me understand where you need to begin.

Some mothers need to regulate before anything else can start to feel easier.

Others are ready to gently explore the beliefs and experiences that have been shaping how they respond for years.

Some are already beginning to reconnect with themselves but need the confidence to trust what they already know.

There's no right or wrong place to begin.

There's only the place that's right for you.

And together, we'll work that out... without guesswork.

Meet Lottie

Hi, I'm Lottie.

Before I became a Motherhood Mental Health & Trauma Specialist... I was a mum trying to make sense of my own experiences too.

I know what it's like to carry trauma into motherhood.

I know what it's like to wonder why you're reacting in ways that don't feel like you.

And I know how life-changing it can be when someone finally helps you make sense of it.

I've combined my lived experience with years of study and specialist training in psychology, counselling, trauma, and nervous system healing to create an approach that looks beyond symptoms and focuses on understanding the woman behind them.

Because I don't believe mothers need more judgement, or more pressure, or another list of things they should be doing. I believe they deserve to feel seen, heard and understood. To finally have someone help them make sense of what's really been going on.

Today, I support mothers using my own trauma-informed approach. An approach that has been recognised by the BBC, but the greatest privilege is being trusted with mothers' stories every single day.

It's a privilege to walk alongside mothers as they begin making sense of themselves again.

If you're ready, I'd love to help you do the same.

Stories from other mothers

Mothers who've been where you are

Every mother's story is different, but these are some of the words mothers have shared after reaching out, beginning their healing journey or working together.

Thankyou sooo much it means a hell of a lot to feel understood.

Grounded Momma mum

I definitely don't feel judged by you at all. Every message has been kind and thoughtful and meaningful to me and my family's situation.

A Calm & Control mum

The pasta method has helped massively with my emotions and has made me understand myself a little bit better. I don't feel ashamed of my emotions anymore which has helped me with my parenting.

A loving mum, Heal Mother Thrive Client

Honestly it shocks me everytime I'm able to calm the rage because it's something I never thought I'd be able to get control of! & being in control is one of my flaws so the fact I'm back in control is an absolute blessing xxxx ❤️

Gentle Questions.

Questions mums often ask before booking.

This assessment is for mothers who feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted or unlike themselves, but don't fully understand why.

By the end of our session, you'll have a much clearer understanding of what's really been going on, what's been quietly draining your capacity and what you need to move forward.

You don't need to have the answers before you book.

That's exactly what we're here to discover together.

Once you've booked, you'll be prompted to complete a short questionnaire before we meet.

It's simply there to help me begin understanding your story, so we can make the very most of our time together.

You don't need to have all the answers.

You don't need to organise your thoughts perfectly.

Just come exactly as you are.

That's completely okay.

Many mothers worry they'll say the wrong thing, become emotional or not know where to begin.

You don't have to get it right.

I'll gently guide the conversation and we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Before we finish, we'll talk through everything we've discovered together.

You'll leave with your personalised roadmap, three practical tools or techniques and a clear recommendation for your next step.

For some mothers, that's enough to begin making meaningful changes.

Others choose to continue working with me.

We'll decide what's right for you, together.

Your assessment takes place online via Microsoft Teams and lasts around 50 minutes.

You'll receive everything you need when you book.

If you need to rearrange your appointment, you can reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours beforehand.

When you're ready, simply click "Book Your Calm & Control™ Assessment – £49."

You'll be taken to my booking page where you can choose a date and time that works for you, complete a short questionnaire and securely pay for your session.

Once that's done, you'll receive everything you need for your session, including your Microsoft Teams link and confirmation email.

Then all that's left to do is turn up exactly as you are.

For You. And For Them.

When you understand yourself, you protect two things at once... your own wellbeing and the childhood you want to create for your children.

Not through mum-guilt, not by trying harder and not through perfection.

Simply by understanding yourself first.

Because when you have more capacity, everyone around you benefits.

Most importantly...

You do.

Continuing the journey

If you decide you're ready for more support...

For some mothers, the Calm & Control™ Motherhood Capacity Assessment is all they need to understand themselves, begin making meaningful changes and move forward with confidence.

For others, it's the beginning of a longer journey.

If ongoing support would genuinely benefit you, we'll talk through the options together during your assessment.

That might mean continuing our work together through Heal Mother Thrive™, my personalised 1:1 programme.

Or it might mean joining The Grounded Momma Sanctuary™, my monthly membership space, where you'll continue building your capacity alongside a community of mothers who truly understand.

Whatever I recommend, it'll never be based on what's available. It'll be based on what's right for you.

Ready when you are.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you book.

You don't need to have all the answers.

You don't need to explain everything perfectly.

And you don't need to keep carrying it on your own.

Before we decide what you need... we first understand what's really going on.
